I recently went on holiday to Zante. Normally when I am out in the sun I use factor 30 however when we unpacked the cases we found that we had forgotten to bring my factor 30 and so I had to make do with the factor 8 that had been brought for the others.
I went for a swim on the first day and then slapped the sun lotion on and laid in my shorts and a vest on a lounger for an hour or 2. I nodded off. When I woke up I was slightly pink but thought nothing of it and went inside to get changed to go out for the evening.
We went for an evening meal and when we got back to the hotel room I needed the toilet, I went in the bathroom to pull my trousers down and halted. I couldn’t pull them down past the tops of my thighs where my shorts had been. When I finally managed to get them down the skin was red raw and burnt. One of my shoulders was the same only with scabs and scaly skin 
It meant I couldn’t wear shorts for the rest of my holiday, and I couldn’t wear bra straps/vests/bikini tops or swimsuit straps on one side because they caused the scabs to come off and my shoulder to bleed so I was limited to what I could wear and do and ended up swimming in a tshirt for most of the holiday or having to wear a jacket in 35 degrees.
