When I was pregnant with my first baby I decided I wanted a change, I had long hair and decided it would be
easier to manage in a short bob with a new baby, So i went into a hairdresser in town that I heard was good but hadn’t been before myself, well I can honestly say I would never go back there if you paid me I don’t know how she managed to make my hair look like it did but it was nothing like the bob I asked for in fact the front bit was nearly to the top of my ears and the back looked like it had been hacked off by a five year old, I’m so polite that I thanked her paid and left, it wasn’t till I got out of there that I burst into tears I was an emotional wreck being 8 months pregnant anyway. It took me a long time to grow my hair back and it also took me a long time to get the confidence to go to a hair dressers again, needless to say I never went back to the hairdresser that ruined my hair.

When I was 18 I had really long curly hair (still have curly hair now) I went for my first proper style change and wanted it short, the hairdresser didnt say anything and cut it really short, I hated it, I looked like a sheep, really short curly fluffy hair! It was the night before my friend’s birthday party too, I really didnt want to go!!! That was 14 years ago and it still haunts me to this day!

My hair salon crisis…  I went for  a perm in my very local salon.  (I should’ve known it would be a diasater by the out of date pictures of dear old curly haired ladies in  front window).  The ‘technician’ (who was at least 70), gave me the perm from hell!!!  I came out looking like Roly, (the poodle on Eastenders), and the ‘tecnician’ burnt the back of my neck!!!  – All in the name of economy!!  NEVER AGAIN!!

I decided to get my long hair permed and went to a local salon. The hairdresser put the lotion on and left me for ages. I called her back as I could feel my head burning at the back – she checked it and said it was OK and squirted a bit of water on it! A few minutes later when she was taking the curlers out I could see her face in the mirror and she looked really worried. She had burned all my long hair off down to a very very short spike! They told me I didn’t have to pay and had to shave all my hair at the back …I was gutted! Its took me ages to grow it back again.

It’s competition time again and the title of this month’s competition is – Horror Hair Cut.
